Hahah :) Thus the DR design on their album stuff.. no I didn't mean they were gay as in Homosexual.. they are just a bit gay.. as in lacking in balls...
But as I say Lead singer bloke is a real nice guy.. but some of them were friends of Rosie... and I never did get on with any of Rosie's friends :)
Tell you what.. why don't we all go to that.. and See your mates band.. if you come and see Ant (or his band Junior Blanks) play Sonic Mook some time :)..

Yeah Scala is a great venue.. went to a night called NY Sushi there and it was top notch.. big place..
Saturdays is Sonic Mook Experiment.. which is okay I guess... my mate Ant (DJ Scissorkicks) is DJing there next month, which will be nice. This Saturday isn't looking too great at Sonic Mook, the 2 bands that are on (Space Raiders and Sueprcharger) are shit and gay (in that order)... although the lead signer from Supercharger is a real nice guy.
HOWEVER!.. Chemical Brothers are NOT DJing at Headstart this saturday (at Turnmills) so it will be worth going.. cos the people that are there are Great... Andrea Parker, a guy from Leftfield.. and a sound system from Pork Records (who are great)... So whose up for that???
ALSO!!
In Harrow Uni tonight,... the mighty HoTWire from The Planet Of Leather Moomins (thats me) is DJing with SupaDJ Acid Jezz, for a chill out extraviganza.. with ace computerised visual projections from Ninja Girl (thats me and my mate Derek :)..

(James S. Give it Back ok !! )
MENOMONIE, Wis. (AP) _ A $60,000 copy of ``Star Wars: Episode I _ The Phantom Menace'' was stolen right off the projector at a theater over the weekend.
The film, weighing more than 40 pounds, was taken from the first-floor projection room of the State Theater between showings Friday and Saturday, theater owner Nick LeGros said.
``In the 23 years I've been doing this, this is the first time I've had a film stolen,'' LeGros said.
Someone could make money by converting the movie to videocassette and selling it on the black market, police Lt. Doug Briggs said.
The size and weight of the film have police thinking more than one person stole the movie. There were no signs of forced entry, police said.

WOOOW power cut .. 3-4 hours with no power (someone cut through the cables outside).. it's really entertaining when the power comes back on, causes a big spike and exlpodes one of your repeaters (network hardware).. and it's you job to discover this and fix it.. all the time your phone is ringing with people asking why the network doesn't work! .. oh well

I haven't been climbing for ages. I bought the mag because it had a review of tons of climbing shoes. Figured if I spend some money on a nice pair of shoes I would have no excuse not to start again when I get back. I'll either be going on Saturday's or Sunday's to Mile End at first then maybe check out The Castle etc. It'll probably be every week so you can come along whenever you want. Jat said he wanted to go aswell.

There is a really smart advert in a climbing mag. It has a picture of some guy's face and he is totally frozen. His beard and even his eyelashes are covered in icicles. The slogan is:
"When it's this cold you don't trim your beard. You snap the ends off".
Made me chuckle. Dude had better watch out when he takes a leak. |

Also, I have found an amazing shaving oil (see above link). It gives the best shave I have ever had. I used the "formula alpha" oil.

Can't really type properly, too tired and have been typing way too much over the last week. Total report size: 241 pages 33,000 words, and we had to hand in two copies.
Mmmmm. Still loads of work left to do but it's a big relief to get that lot out of the way. |

From the Station :
Head out the Front of the Station and cross the road, you should see Options in the distance :)..
When you get on the otherside of the road, take the road on the right, go all the way down there until you reach the Bentalls Center.
Turn left, you should hit the highstreet now. Turn Right. Walk all the way down till you reach Kingston Bridge.
As you get there, take the path on the left, it curves round and has a wall and everything. At the end is the entrance to where Glug used to be. There are some steps on the right, Walk down them. Now walk along the water front until you come to a Pub that has steps doing down to waters edge.. and 2 white wooden building outside,.. this is the Gazeebo..
Essential it's Kingston Bridge, turn left :)

| You may joke about having to join the army but Brice (our French house mate). Has been avoiding the French army for ages. He has been accepted to work for Oracle (top computer company) but if he accepts the job the French army will make him join up instead. He has already had his fitness test but if he carries on studying and does an MSc he will not have to join the French army. Thus the guy has been known to stay up until 4am doing on uni. work. |

| As long as they try some kinda proper realtime engine, not just - you run down a corridor and then a group of stromtroopers appear from no-where and a fight starts... I feel starwars roleplaying would be better done in a thief kinda stylee... the jedi knight using his powers to avoid detection and sneak around avoiding combat... but not in a metal gear solid way where the enemy sees you, chases after you for a minute and then completely forgets about you... |

In case you didn't know, some loon went into the back of Liz's car & wrote it off, so she has bought a brand new moped!! It's wicked fun, and especially good for getting takeaway food as the box-thing is on top of the engine to keep it nice and warm! Oh.. so you don't want a 3 litre Injection Supra then :)...
Yeah your right, the smaller engine on the MR2 means less insurance.. I'm a bit pissed that the Alfa is only 1.7 .. but then is a Boxer engine out of a Ferrari :) not as fast as a Ferrari as the car is heavier.. but still pretty swift.. :)
Would you go for Modern curvy surface or older angley version? I prefer the older one.. but the modern one is more aero dynamic (Still think is a womans car :)))

| Chris you are right, Mr.vid you are wrong... although quiet a small car MR2's are much to aggressive looking to be a woman's car, specially the older model, a few guys at work who are my age have got them and they totally rock... I've wanted one since I was in senior school, although I will try and get a Celica as they are just sooo damn mean looking.... but the smallest engine size on a celica is 2.0 ..which is just a bit too big and pushes the insurance way over £1000 (although I am prepared to play 1000 quid for insurance)... I am fed up with looking to but metro and 106's and other crappy small cars... just gotta do it man... |

OK people, I'm not usually one to jest at the expense of others stupidity but... I was walking to uni and this guy walked up to me and asked:
Guy: What's PM?
Me: ???????
Guy: As in AM and PM.
Me: SHOCKED!
Guy: Is it morning or the evening?
Me: STUNNED! It's afternoon and evening.
Guy: Oh thanks. I always get those two mixed up.
Me: OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!
For the next 15 minutes I have been in a state of shock that this guy really did not know the difference between AM and PM. He was about 50 and I have no idea how on earth he has coped with not knowing the difference.
He was dead serious and was not embarrassed at all. |

True, true.. so we'll file it under "Great, but could have been greater".. like most games :)

| They should have designed it (from the beginning) allowing the player to save the game when he rested (ie. at an inn or in the wilderness). Then the fights could have been made a bit easier (not a bad thing as some are bastard hard), the problem is that this would make the game harder to plan & balance out, so the obvious kop-out was to say "Hey, we know the fights are tough - but that's ok 'cause you can save at any point". They didn't really need to bother allowing the player to raise dead in the temples as it's much cheaper to keep reloading until you fluke it! Shoddy. |
| Monday, March 08, 1999 at 15:40:27 (GMT) |
| David Murphy |
|
Thats almost true about Baldur's Gate.. but you need to some times.. like re-load and re-do a fight :)... But then I thought maybe you should only be able to save when you reach an Inn :) but then they would have to make fights less Deadly..

I just heard a new player is in the field, RL Labs. Hardware capable of running at over 1,000 frames a second, complex physics engine, very complex a.i engine. Thier new super "Actual Reality" operating system.
They already have software in the pipeline and thier three major launch titles will be (currently code named), P.U.B., C.L.U.B. and the most popular test piece, S.E.X.
Wow I can't wait for this sounds like fun.. really going to blow Playstation3, Dreamcast2, Jag 2000 and the new Sinclair machine out the water..

Good one Dan. Did you read about the NANinfinity neural head set console that is based on that VR stuff from Star Trek. Yeah but it's 3 years away.. if they were really mad for it, they would say they will do a world release next Spring.
And if you bought a dreamcast you can trade it in, and get a cheaper Avatar. There by garenteeing people will buy a load of Dreamcasts just so they can get a cheaper avatar, meanging they can afford to release such a high-spec bit of hardware in 12 months :)..

poor people over at Sega Otaku don't think the PSX2 is much to write home about ho ho ho ho.
The PSX2 demos obviously show us alot more than the Iri-San demo. Despite this, I don't think we saw anything in the PSX2 demos which couldn't be done on the Dreamcast. Sure the PSX2 might be a powerhouse, but the Dreamcast can remain competitive with Sony's new system. Check out the PSX2 demo images, and see for yourself. They are impressive, but a Dreamcast killer? Specifications aside this doesn't look like something which will run right over the Dreamcast.

That piece really does sum up what is happening. Until then I did not realise quite how powerful it was. Real time your Nan. I heard a few rumours that after investing so much money into the chip Sony/Toshiba are marketing the EE chip on its own for other graphics rendering machines.
Seems funning to think that games consoles used to lag behind arcade machines.

This is taken from Game Online. It gives more info on the demos and what they were supposed to show. From reading this, that skeleton demo from From seems far more impressive than you'd realise looking at an MPEG on your PC...
Paul Davies reports in before going to bed
Let's get the first thing straight - it isn't 'Playstation 2'... yet. Sony officials stuck to the name of 'Emotion Engine' or 'EE' for short at the press conference for the unveiling of their sensational new hardware.
Paul Davies was one of the 1500-odd invitees from around the world to the vast auditorium Sony had selected to show off what its new machine could do. After the show he kindly deferred his bedtime in order to detail the proceedings. His explanations of the technical demos explain many of the pictures in our separate news story.
All the Sony bigwigs had turned out, from the chairman of SCE and Ken Kutaragi, Playstation designer, to the President of Sony himself - to underline how games have become 'one of the pillars of Sony'in four short years.
First up came some statistic slides, mainly to show how much more powerful EE is compared to comparable hardware. Sony are not even bothering to compare EE to Dreamcast - they are measuring it against Intel's Pentium 3 chipset, and high-end floating point workstations used for 3D graphics and special effects. And it compares pretty well - with the core CPU performing 3 to 5 times better than P3 on various forms of calculation.
These facts drew slightly playful comments from the speaker that Sony had achieved what Intel has failed to do, despite its huge size and influence in the computer chip market, and PC manufacturers would do well to look at EE.
On two aspects of the EE setup Sony remained sketchy. First was the plan for network games. The spec draws attention to its I/O (input/output) capabilities which would allow it to connect to a PC-like modem, but there is no question of shipping the machine with one to begin with.
The second question mark hangs over DVD. Though the machine supports the disc format, it's unlikely the machine will play movies 'out of the box', though surely a decoder card would become available.
The press release has lots of dry statistics, but the people had come hoping to see what the machine could do, and Sony provided ample demonstration, with 16 separate demos that took you through the technicalities step by step, and then gave you a glimpse of the 'emotional' goals behind the EE.
The presentation was quite different to the Dreamcast launch, where the intention was to show you how good the visuals could be. With EE, Sony tried to introduce the new concept of 'Behaviour Synthesis' which will become jargon term of the year. It basically relegates the idea of polygon counts and pixel shift rates to the dustbin of video game thinking.
The Technical Demos
1. Penguin Panic.
Crash Bandicoot is pursued across a snowy landscape by hundreds of penguins, each breathing translucent 'fog'. Crash approaches the screen in sharp detail. Basically a crude demonstration of how many polygon objects EE can handle at once.
2. Burr
One of those floating shapes demos so beloved of hardware designers. Lots of odd random shapes floating about. Very nice, yes. Next!
3. Fluff
A dandelion is used to give the first demonstration of 'Behaviour Synthesis'. Not only does the fluff look intricate and beautiful, in the EE world it has attributes like weight, and behaves according to environmental factors. A mathematically generated 'wind' is blown, and the fluff disperses randomly.
4. Feather
An extension of the fluff idea. You see hundreds of floating feathers, passing over each other with translucency. They are not sharp-edged or polygonal, but softly rendered. A wind vortex is summoned, and the feathers are dragged into it. More Behaviour Synthesis. The speaker explains: " this is where we are trying to transcend a hard image and transmit emotion"
5. Fireworks
Demo of a sparking firework. Noteworthy aspects are the lighting effects on the ground and the way sparks dance - just like real-life. The speaker brings attention to the fact that although TV refresh rates are limited to 60 frames per second, the demo is actually calculated at a rate of 600 frames per second.
6. Curved
Specifically to show off EE's B-spline mathematics - ie how it does nice smooth curves. The application here is on four different heads, from comic clown to easter island monolith. The demo morphs continously between them. The demo is apparently to show how movie-quality special effects (like 'The Mask') will now be possible in real-time. Huzzah!
7. Depth of field
The familiar Playstation four-symbol logo is pressed into action to show a clever trick that EE has to simulate depth of field. Huh? Well, when you look at real world objects, your eyes are able to focus on one distance at a time, so other not central to your vision become blurred. This might be inconvenient, but it also gives us a sense of real depth. This has not been possible in video games before, at least not in real time, where everything is sharp at any distance. Not any more with EE. A shiny surface effect was also used to demo reflection mapping.
8. Rocky Area
The picture looks boring for this one, but apparently it was one of the most impressive. You are viewing a coral basin from high above. The crucial aspect is that the water in the basin is not just a translucent effect with an animated skin for waves - it has mathematical properties of its own that dictate how it ebbs and flows. The speaker relates how the currents on the surface are regulated by depth and shape of the sea bed. From about 1000ft the camera zooms in to a view just about the surface. Now you can see goldfish moving under the surface, and the movement of the water surface distorts their image, just...yep, you guessed it...like real water.
9. Bath
Another demo impressive in motion that isn't conveyed in a still picture. A bath with a rubber duck, and other objects is affected by the application of an imaginary hand. Then the plug is removed and the water drains away - not by a pre-ordained animation, but by mathematical behaviour.
That was the end of the technical demo bit. Everyone is impressed but a little jaded. Time to wheel on representatives from some of Japan's top software developers, who have had three weeks to come up with some demos to put the EE into action. Demos are shown from Polyphony, FROM, Namco and Square.
Polyphony
Polyphony developed a racing car demo from existing car model data from their Gran Turismo game from last year. Paul can only describe the car as looking 'totally real' as it races through a complex environment of tall buildings and vivid hoardings.
FROM
From Software had aimed to show the atmosphere one could generate using EE. The demo is set in a spooky graveyard, where skeletons rise from their graves. Suddenly, a lovely little fairy arrives with a beautiful trsil of fairy dust particles. The skeletons are created from individual bones and they collapse at the touch of a button and gravitate towards the centre of the graveyard to form a huge fossil monster boss. Right. that's Tomb Raider style games sorted. Next!
Namco
The great thing about Namco is they don't disappoint. They knew everyone would be thinking - what would Tekken look like...? So they did a mock-up of Tekken 3, using Paul Phoenix and Jin Kazama, set in a grimy city level. Paul (Davies that is) describes the quality as looking like the rendered artwork that comes with Namco games - in real-time. The arena was rich and detailed, and showed up Virtua Fighter 3 for its 'boxy limitations'. The fighters were not alone - they are surrounded by a braying crowd of about 20 onlookers. The camera swung around from different movie style positions, and then the Namco demonstrators delighted the attendees by actually having a fight! It was fully interactive.
Square
Square, being Square, would have to do three, not one, demo. The first was an old man's head. The same figure had been used last year to show what Square could do for the rendered movie of Final Fantasy, due in cinemas next year - but this was real-time! The camera was able to zoom in to see every pore on this old git's face. Unpleasant, as the Square programmer admitted, but done to show the awesome texturing capabilities of EE. Every wispy strand of grey hair on the old man's head is separately rendered and capable of independent movement. The demonstrator played around with his intricate facial expressions before...
Moving onto a demo for a 3-D fighting game. It begins with some guys playing cards and a fight breaking out, and suddenly eight of them are in this barney. Then the fight moves outside, probably just to show off the obligatory waterfall. This is a really nice waterfall, again with hundreds of separate particles to it.
The final Square demo takes a scene from Square's recent Final Fantasy VIII for Playstation. What was previously a pre-rendered sequence is now in real-time. Two characters dance together, their clothes and hair moving in life-like fashion. The scene is the climax of the presentation - a demonstration of how Sony is aiming to create images that transcend our expectations of computer 'graphics', and become as viable, believable and emotionally charged as films or television. This final demo is, in the speaker's words, "to show how you can share a moment with a character".
This demo is impressive enough from the outset, but then the demonstrator begins to muck around with it, showing the power of EE to manipulate as well as generate. Motion blurs are added, split-screen modes used, page-turning effects employed. The invitees get the general picture. This is serious kit, mama.
Paul's summing up on what he had seen. "It doesn't look like anything you've seen before. It doesn't look like a PC game, or a Dreamcast game. Sony have gone beyond that". For an anonymous developer, the dynamics are economic - "Playstation 2 is going to be so enormous, it doesn't make sense not to put most of our resources into it". And for Sega? In Paul's words, "You can almost hear you bell tolling for Dreamcast. Can it be over so soon?".
I sooooo want to see the water going down the plug hole through physics myself -Al- (I wonder if it forms a spirally vortex whirlpool like for real?) |

These are the VERY official release specs not altered and with all the techie details. psxpress.
Forget what I said about everything catching up. This baby has similar connection ports as the newest Mac G3's (USB, FireWire & PCMCIA). Therefore zip drives, printers, mice, AV harddrives (basically everything) will be connectable.
It has it's own MPEG2 hardware and I reckon will allow firmware updates.
After reading the specs Sony/Toshiba will NOT allow this machine to come second best to anything. It rocks. Although by the time it's released over hear PC's will be using the same technology (Direct RDRAM etc), but the price will be about double for a PC.
Plus it's even got VESA (PC monitor support) at up to 1280 x 1024 res.
Anyway enough of this raving we can all read the specs ourselves.

| Yeah but as DVD technology improves and newer and better machines are made available PSX2 will not be able to improve along side with these other machines. A good example is in America and Japan they are on the 3rd-4th generation of DVD player, while Britan is still on the 1st-2nd generation. And the whole point about DVD players is the quality of the machines and playback which, bundled as a games console the Psx2 may not be able to deliver, although it will probably be my 1st DVD player as well as alot of other peoples... and could be just what DVD needs to finally make a proper break into the British movie industry |

| Though it will play DVD's there will still be a need for standalone DVD player, this is because of the quality and functionality of PSX2 DVD playback, Just think back to PSX1 CD playback capabilites - a bit duff really when compared to a normal cd player, apart from myself I'm not aware of anyone who has used it as their main cd player... Basically everyone our age who has money will have both just because we are all gadget mad, and families may have both as consoles are generally relagted to the 2nd television in the house(as they are still seen as kids toys). |

And if it plays DVD's bye bye stand alone DVD players, therefore bye bye VM Labs... But I bet it wont play audio DVDs.. as Sony have their own new rival standard..

Yes that's ALL real time, apparently for the fighting game sections they got two ppl up on stage to actually play that section to prove it etc. The GT2 shots are from the GT2 on the PS1 but they took just two weeks to add some improvememtns bigger textures, better effects etc. and that racing section of the demo is the result RAAAAAAH!
Bye Bye Dreamcast! |

"When rendering small polygons, the peak drawing capacity is 75 Million polygons per second and the system can render 150 Million particles per second. With this large drawing capability, it is possible to render a movie-quality image. With Z-buffering, textures, lighting and alpha blending (transparency), a sustained rate of 20 Million polygons per second can be drawn continuously."

I was thinking about this at lunch actually; Pete it's every time we go to Looney Toons or Where Its At.. everywhere else you are good old Pete, a few bears possibly Red Bull and Vodka or two.. lovely , up for it.. great.. Dancing, foolishness.. smart.
But, honestly, everytime (except this weekend which was a TOTAL Blast, great fun), that we have been at Looney Toons or Where It's At you have hung around for about half an hour then turn up at the end of the night. It's just that Looney Toons is where we use to play around the most, and every weekend was like the weekend just gone. Thats my point... I seem to have come off as being anti Alcohol, which I'm not.. in fact I would activly encourage Jeremy T Gordon to drink loads cos he is hilarious when he is pissed. And your more 'Pete' after a couple of beers and whatever, but when we go to Looney Toons you usually get really trashed, so my evening goes like this, we meet up, have a laugh, play some PSX. We get in the car you and Jon talk about work until we get to Looney toons, we dance then you vanish after half an hour, Jon and I have a bit of a laugh, then he gets knackered (which is perfectly acceptable), so I dance on my own. Later you turn up, we go home, journey home is silence as you and Jon fall asleep (again perfectly acceptable as you work the next day). So thats where my 'enourmous chip' comes from. It's less noticable when we are in a bigger group, and we generally have more fun when we are all out together, but with Chris and Jez at Uni, and Dan&Gemma being strapped for cash recently....
Personally we have great fun at Happiness Stan's, The Lounge and stuff like that. It's just Looney Toons has recently turned sour, cos when you come down to it, it's not really that good, the thing that makes it good is us. But if we are not together it is just a school Disco :) ... ANYWAY, thats my point.
Forget it...
On another note, There is a new club opening in London on the 20th March which looks Outstanding!! so we gotta go to that. Also I should find out the 'secret' location where Heavenly Social has moved to this week. Also the club that replaced Heavenly (at Turnmills) looks real smart. So we should go to some of them, plus of course The Lounge..
This long message has been bought to you by the David "I'm not that bad really" Murphy Messaage Service.

Yes David I think you should!
I've had enough of your snidy little coments and your holyer than thow attitude. You make it look like I go out and get completely trashed every night of the week (when infact if you were to be fair, in the amount of time that we have been going out every week must have only happened mabe three or so times). Yes I did get trashed the other night along with my good freinds Dan, Gemma and Jon and I had one of the best times of my life and so did they and I know it would have been a lot better if we didn't have your dissaproving eyes on us. As for my apparent 'dissapearance' in clubs whenever I start drinking... that is a load of bollocks, yes its true I do like to pull at clubs (...Shocking Huh?) and I do like to wander around on my own occasionaly, that is my prefernce and I am intitled to it, its not like I don't want spend time with you and it's not like I don't.
So to sum up: Don't try to force your appinions appon me and try to make me look like a fucking twat infront of everyone for something that realy isn't that strange or socialy unexceptable. Maybe if you were to take your head from out of your arse and remove that mamoth chip from your shoulder you might be able to realise that. |

My genuine apologies Pete, it's just I'm annoyed that someone that use to be such good fun to be out with, is no longer anywhere near as fun since he decided he was 'responsible' enough to drink a lot.
Jon and Dan have always been drinking and know their limits and occasionally go over it, but are still fun, it's just your less fun to be around when your drunk, unless we are in a big group; like Saturday which was a huge laugh. Dont ask me why.. just the way I feel. I think it's cos you disappear half the night chasing skirt, whereas Jon always sticks around.
Guess it's just someone you want to become.. I'll shut up now...

A couple of foot towards me and it would have been the drivers side of my car they ran into. e.g. no more me..

Chris: Buy Baldur's Gate now.... you must... that is a direct order from your commanding officer...
Baldur's gate Players: I have been having baldur's Gate dreams... arrrggghhh get out of my head, this is really disrupting my sleep...
Pete: I also said that I didn't think much of Red dwarf (in a previous mail) because of the really pooh canned laughter at every third second...

I'm going to start looking for jobs today, its all very exciting. Richard Gledhill recons that in marketing I may have a starting salary between 16,000 and 18,000 and in a couple of years is likely to be over 20,000. OK, so it excites me anyway. If money is all that you want, money is all you will ever get! Its not for the money though, it's because its what I want to do (Its nice to know what I want to do). It's pretty cold here.. the guy I work with has a bad cold and I wish he would bugger off home, he wont stop complaining about how he shouldn't be here.. so I just keep saying "so go home," and he is all like.. "no..I might as well stay now.."
However I doubt I'll get his cold as this office is sooooo cold that germs would die before reaching me :)

No doubt you've all heard this:
Luke Skywalker and Obi Wan Kenobi are in a Chinese restaurant eating a meal.
Half an hour later Obi has finished, and places his chop sticks on the table.
Luke is in a real mess as he can't use his sticks, and he has rice all down his shirt, noodles in his hair and beanshoots round his mouth.
Obi looks Luke in the eyes and says in a booming voice,
"Use the forks, Luke" |

| I've just been babysitting Josh, only for three hours but in that time he wet himself three times!!!! I wouldn't care but I was constantly asking him if he wanted to got to the toilet and I must have sat him on it about five times without him doing anything! It's quite impressive though because in one morning he managed to get through 4 pairs of pants, 4 trousers three T-shirts, 2 jumpers, 2 vests and 2 pairs of socks. My Mum was all like 'you obviously didn't point his 'willy' the right way when you put on his pants!' (hence the wet T-shirts and jumpers), but you just doen't realy want to start playing with some kids dick to make sure it's pointing the right way! Besides normaly if mine is pointing the wrong way in my pants it normal works its way around after a couple of minutes. I don't ever want to babysit again, I was sitting there just terified that he might need a crap! can you imagine! and he's getting a lot bigger now, I can imagine he could drop quite a load! |

Argh!.. bloody hell females are so annoying.. over sensative.. talk behind peoples backs.. Well the Italian woman I work with. She is like all on about clothes and stuff and how bad some person looks.. for ages and she says "She just has NO taste" and I say (only semi-joking) "Oh and you have..." that was about 2 weeks ago and she has been stressed with me ever since.. We are sat in the pub today and we are having a talk about TGI Fridays and the people that work there and she says "One of my friends wanted to be a Maitrre'D (or however you spell it, the person who stands at the door and welcomes people in) at TGI Fridays." so I say "Well we all gotta have aims in life." It was a joke and she turns at me furious, and says "Do you have to be so Rude!" and I'm like beyond giving a shit what she thinks so I say "Only when it amuses me.", and she is like "Do you care what people think of you", my reply "Well I don't care what you think of me".. a few moments silence and she says "Well she has her own business now.. so.." and puts on a smug expression, like I actually care what some person I never met actually does for aliving.. So I'm like "well thats good then.." and thats the last of it.
But now she isn't talking to me .. which is pretty childish for a 25 year.. and it's pissed me off because people that sensative piss me off.
ARGH!... Also about the clothes thing, she is like talking about how cool her clothes are and stuff.. and she shops in Next and FCUK, for christsake.. like she is some level by which all others taste in clothes should be judged...
ARGH!.. That Four it's Friday.. dancey dancey...

10. "But I was gonna go to Tosche station to pick up some power convertors!" - "Oh allright, but be back at 9 !"
9. "Perhaps you'd like it back in your cell, your highness" - "After hanging around with you guys, yes!"
8. "It's Luke, I know where he is !" - "You're dreaming Leia, get us out of here Chewie"
7."Join me and we can rule the galaxy together as father & son" - "Cool!"
6."Ooooooooh no! You're not pulling that old 'remove my restraining bolt' trick on ME!"
5. "Ten Thousand? We could buy our own ship for that!" - "You're right, Luke - this guy's a rip-off artist! Let's go."
4. "Adventure, heh! Excitement, heh! A Jedi craves not these things." - "Boring. C'mon, Artoo, let's go."
3. "I'll ask you one last time - where is the rebel base?" - "Yavin IV".
2."These aren't the droids you're looking for" - "Well they sure look like them. You're busted."

Just been watching Kilroy - "Does breast size matter?"
Jons' opinion - anymore than a handful and your risking a sprained tongue. |

Man, uni sucks as ever. I now have to walk for 20min to another site just to update this web site and check my home emial.
Anyway, read About Stuff for info on updates.
My lecture starts in 5 min and I'm 20 min away. If the damn uni wasn't so crap in the first place I could have been in the same building as my lecture, but no. |

Yeah, as Jon said, nice pictures, sad life.
Anyway Star Wars won't be the best film this year.. as Cameron Crowe (the guy who wrote and Directed Jerry Maguire) is making a new film :) and Jerry Maguire is the best film ever.. :)
But I look forwards to Star Wars, and all the fanboy geekdom surrounding it. All the people on AICN complaining about it and an equal number claiming it is the best film ever. And a load of people saying it is not as good as the Episode 4 etc. yadda yadda yadda...
I think it will be good, great, probably really really great. But I'm not going to say it's the best film of the year, without having seen all the films of the year. I was totally un prepaired for movies like Out Of Sight, The Big Lebowski, The Butcher Boy and Dark City, because there was totally no hype around them at all. But they still managed to be better than all the films I was really looking forwards to, and that promised to knock my socks off... So ..
So eagar to judge hmmm? Patience.. you must learn patience.. as some shrivelled Green dude would probably say.. if he didn't have Jim Hensons hand up his butt..
-David
Aha, whilst waiting for Chris to sort his life out I have just read that Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn have written a movie called "Marshall Of Revelation" and it should be out this year. So that is the best film of 1999 :)

Anyway, Godzilla trailers had nothing to do with the film, they were more like Levi ads or short films (ok so they might have been in the film, i can't remember... meaning they were really cool, the reason they didn't show the full monster in the trailer was because it looked crap)... Star Wars trailer had only scenes from the film...and lots of...hmmm beautiful...
p.s did you go to the Leia site??? |
