Why Stuff?
Back in Summer'95, Stuff was a buzz word used by my group of friends. It's kinda stuck. Besides this site is about all kinds of Stuff, so the name seems appropriate.
What's the point?
- Initially I wanted to learn how to build a web site. So I learnt.
- Then My Friends asked me for other friends email addresses. So I provided a list.
- They wanted to see some pictures of the gang. So I scanned in the pictures.
- They wanted to leave messages for everyone else to see. So I developed the Notice Board.
- Then I realised a few other people were visiting my site. So I included some things that interest me, hoping other people would find them useful.
- I then got a job as a web developer. I have learnt so much about developing web sites from work. So, when I get time I use my knowledge to improve my own site and to test out ideas.
The site doesn't look that good!
I am not pretending to be a good designer. I admit that my design/graphic skills are not that good, although I do suprisingly have good experience with Photoshop, QuarkXPress, Illustrator etc.
Web developer?
This site uses many Perl CGI scripts, you may not notice where they are being used, but that's good, right? I have also used JavaScript and produced good HTML. This site does not showcase all of my abilities, just those that I have time to implement in my spare time. For a better idea of what I can do, check out My Other Work.

I have been testing a Captive page since about 17/09/1998 and have had quite a lot of response so I have finally decided to link to it from the rest of the site.
